Wisconsin IOP Treatment

An intensive outpatient program, or IOP for short, addresses drug or alcohol addictions that do not require around-the-clock supervision or detox.

Condor Life Services offers a Wisconsin IOP program in a safe and supportive setting. Rather than expecting clients to travel back and forth to counseling sessions, we deliver our services in an online format. This way, you can get the high quality care you need from the comfort and privacy of home.

If you are interested in our IOP, contact Condor Life Services today. Our clinicians will determine the best level of care for your needs and create a personalized treatment schedule for you to follow.

What to Expect from Wisconsin IOP Treatment

Knowing what to expect from an intensive outpatient program is very important. The more you know, the better you can prepare for the work you have to put in. While we do expect recovery to be the main focus, we are also considerate of our clients’ responsibilities whether it’s work, school or taking care of the household.

Our IOP consists of 40 hours a month. During this time, you will meet with trained, qualified clinicians and engage in group therapy. Everything is private and confidential – you can use your initials, your first name only or another name during group sessions. We feel that the more comfortable our clients are, the easier it is for them to let down their guard and get more from treatment.

Here is what you can expect from Wisconsin IOP treatment:

  • Group therapy. Group therapy sessions are the core of IOP. Clients receive 3-hour group sessions each week. Even though you don’t get one-on-one attention, you’re able to draw support from others and learn from their struggles, too.
  • Individual therapy. Clients get one hour of individual therapy each week as well. This is a good time to talk one-on-one with your primary clinician about how you’re progressing along in your recovery journey.

Skills Developed During a Wisconsin IOP Program

Because the bulk of your time is spent in group counseling, it’s helpful to understand why this type of therapy works and what you can expect from it. Some people worry that they won’t be able to open up enough to benefit from group therapy, but most find that this isn’t the case. They’re welcomed with open arms and zero judgement.

By participating in group therapy, you’ll benefit in the following ways:

  • Enhance communication skills
  • Learn from others who are in similar situations
  • Reinforce healthy ways to interact with others
  • Receive empathy and compassion from those who are further along in their journey
  • Discover new ways to cope and deal with stress
